If you ask people what is the greatest danger of our planet, 85% of them will answer : "It is a large asteroid colliding with our earth".
But, this is not true. According to a study of the most prestigious universities in the world, Oxford, Imperial College, Harvard and Berkeley, the greatest danger to Earth comes from the people themselves.
David Spiegelhalter, one of 27 experts who conducted the study, says that the greatest danger to our planet comes from the human lifestyle.
"Asteroids that fall on Earth are a real threat, but in reality we can not do much to stop this danger. What we aren't conscious are the risks of technology. Today we use systems related to everything and it makes our society more vulnerable in the event that such systems function go wrong or sabotaged for terrorist purposes, "says Spiegelhalter.
